PEPSI's "Good Bye the 20th Century" Art Can On Sale

Topics! December 18, 2000

Pepsi put 20th century's final commemorative cans on Japanese market in December. The theme of these cans is "Good Bye the 20th Century & Hello the 21st Century".

This series consists of 4 variations; Spaceship, Smile, Panda Bear and Rabbit. Each can has very unique and cute design illustration by Japanese artist. The taste of these cans makes clear contrast with original PEPSI can, which tend to give rather cool impression.

It is also worthy of notice that PEPSI introduced new resealable cans. These bottle-looking aluminum can is screw-topped, remind of cone top can in 30's. Can of this kind was first introduced by Sapporo Beer named "Shot bottle" early this year, followed by other Beer makers. But this is the first attempt for cola beverage.

These cans are available for limited period only. Each can is 140 yen (approx. $1.20) in price.
