Coke issued second "No Reason" promo bottle

Coca-Cola (JAPAN) is marketing a new commemorative bottle featuring KEISUKE KUWATA, the partner of their "No Reason" campaign this year. They were put on shelves from October 1st.

KEISUKE KUWATA, the main vocal of Southern All-Stars, is one of the most popular singers in Japan (Some may notice he is the original singer of "Elli My Love"). He first appeared in Coke's campaign "Coke and Sound Special" in 1987 with HALL & OATES [Photo]. For Coke's latest campaign he made and sang its theme song "Jonny the Surfwer", which swept Japan's music chart in summer, as well as appeared ads and on TV.

On this 250ml glass bottle, mono-colored image of Kuwata holding bottle in hand is printed on the opposite side of the logo [Photo]. This image is familiar to the most Japanese for Coke has used it as main image of this campaign [Photo]. It is the first time Coke issued 2 different commemorative bottles in single campaign in Japan.

This bottle seems to be a promo for Kuwata's Christmas concert that Coke offers 300 seats in their autumn-winter campaign. It would be out of shelves by the end of this year, if not earlier. It is priced 100 yen ($0.90).
