PEPSI to launch spring campaign with Ichiro

Anakin Skywalker, Snoopy, and here comes Ichiro! Pepsi announced to start spring campaign with2001 MVP player of MLB, Ichiro Suzuki.

According to PEPSI, the coming-up campaign consists of 2 parts. One called "Closed campaign", which begins from Feb 19th, offers baseball items with his autograph. Each item requires stickers that come with PEPSI and Diet PEPSI to apply, 1 for cap, 5 for baseball bat and 8 for his uniform respectively. Since the numbers of item are limited (10,000 for cap and 1,000 for the others) they'll gain great popularity among baseball fans.

PEPSI also will release Ichiro commemorative cans around the same time. These will be in shape of 350ml "bottle can", all-aluminum cone-top-styled can. Recently PEPSI has issued commemorative cans of this kind, but the first time of this size.

And they never forget their favorite giveaways, the bottle caps. During "On-pack campaign" starting a month behind the first one, one Ichiro bottle cap comes with every purchase of 500ml PEPSI and Diet PEPSI PET bottle. There are more than 20 kinds of bottle caps including some color variations. The most favorite will be the first-of-the-world "bobbing head" bottle caps. Such new style caps, Snoopy's "water globe" for example, tend to be very popular and thus hard to find.

This campaign will last by the end of April, according to them.
